I was born in Fort Polk, Louisiana and moved to Texas when I was 1 year old. I was adopted by my grandparents when I was 2 years old, along with my baby sister. We moved around during my childhood, but I spent my elementary years in Tyler and my junior high and high school years in Katy. I graduated from Taylor High School in 2001 and headed to Baylor University, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and graduated in 2005. I'm a proud Baylor Bear! When I graduated, I worked at Medical City Hospital in the Pediatric ICU for 2 years. I married the man of my dreams on November 11th, 2006, and am excited about celebrating our first anniversary this year. Last year I worked at HPISD part-time as a substitute nurse and fell in love with school nursing! This is my first year as an official University Park nurse, and I am thrilled to be a part of this great school! Thank you to everyone for making me feel so welcome.
