Crayola ColorCycle

Crayola ColorCycle Comes to U.P.!

U.P. Panthers are banding together with Crayola to help protect the environment in a cool new way! Instead of throwing old, dried out markers in the trash can, we are encouraging all students and teachers to recycle them in a ColorCycle box located around our school.  Once the box is full, Mrs. Torres will mail the box of old markers back to Crayola (Crayola even pays for the shipping!) where they will be melted down and turned in to clean-burning fuel!!  WOW!  Watch how it’s done at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LRsFLuyLaQw .

So, help us save the planet one marker at a time – bring your old, plastic markers from your classroom or from home and recycle them in one of our ColorCycle boxes at U.P.!  Any plastic markers – Crayola Brand, Sharpies, Dry Erase - will be accepted!

You can find the ColorCycle boxes in:

-         Upstairs hallway outside the Art Room

-         Downstairs hallway across from the Nurse’s Clinic

-         Upstairs hallway near 3rd grade & the new copy machine
