About Mrs. Londoff
Hello! My name is Mary Londoff and I am thrilled for another amazing year as a Panther! This will be my fourth year teaching, second year teaching at University Park Elementary, and first year teaching 1st grade. I was born in Northern California and moved to Fort Worth to attend Texas Christian University where I earned my Bachelors in Early Childhood Education as well as my Masters in Special Education.
I have been married for almost two years to my husband Doug and we recently moved in to our first home in Kessler Park. We are expecting a baby girl in January and are over the moon excited for her arrival! In my free time I love to spend time outside with my chubby dog, Chopper. I am a big fan of Barre, Pilates and having fun laughing at myself while I try to conquer an exercise class called Dance Jam. In my daily free time I love to hunt for antiques, experiment with new recipes, and enjoy the amazing restaurants Dallas has to offer.
I have always had a passion for children, and I believe that every child has the ability to acquire the skills that will enable them to be a positive leader who will influence and improve the world we live in. When you walk into our classroom often times it will be loud, busy, and at times messy. I believe that learning should be ACTIVE! Thankfully, educational research is now pushing teachers to put the power of learning in the children's hands through meaningful lessons and activities that promote exploration and creating true understanding of academic content. I cannot wait to establish a team and family among our class- this year will be a beautiful adventure!
