About Mrs. Roush
Welcome to fourth grade! My name is Mindee Roush, and I am so excited to be a part of the growth and learning that will take place in your child this year. Originally from Bixby, Oklahoma, I taught third grade for three years and am in my eleventh year of teaching fourth grade at UP. I attended college at the University of Oklahoma where I earned a Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education and have a Masters Degree in Educational Technology Leadership.
My husband, Barrett, and I have a chihuahua named Mookie who loves being the center of our attention. There are many weekends that we can be found cheering on the Sooners (Go OU!!) in Norman or spotted enjoying all of the fabulous restaurants that Dallas has to offer. I also love cooking, hanging out with family and friends, shopping, and decorating my new home!
Though I love these things, teaching is my passion. I truly love walking into my classroom each day to find smiles, hugs, and more joy than you can imagine. I think I have the best job in the world! I embrace professional development, laugh often, and work hard to meet the needs of both the curriculum and the students. I want all children to recognize their own unique intelligence, learn how to think as well as question, and develop skills in working with others. My priority is to provide a safe and inviting environment that allows me to inspire, motivate, encourage and instill a love of learning in each of my students.
