Fine Arts

Art has been a passion of mine since I was a child. I took many different watercolor classes and always enjoyed the stress relief that art brought me. In college, I worked at a pottery studio and fell in love with ceramic art. I graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelors in Education and a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction. My dream was always to become an elementary art teacher, but I didn't think I would be able to find that job right out of college. I am now starting my fifth school year as an art teacher. I believe that children should have the opportunity to explore art within a safe environment to make mistakes, so that creative thinking can be boosted. Art is not only fun, but it provides an outlet that other subjects cannot provide!
