About Mrs. Anderson

Hello University Park fourth grade families! My name is Mandy Anderson, and I am beyond excited to be teaching fourth grade at UP this school year.  I graduated from Youngstown State University in 2004 with a degree in Elementary Education. I earned my Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Lamar University. I have been teaching the past 14 years in Richardson ISD. Throughout my career I have taught kindergarten, second, and fourth grade. 

I live in Lake Highlands with my husband Larry and our 3 children Freddie (9), Heidi (7), and Charlie (6). In my free time, I enjoy traveling with my family and baking every chance I get.

Teaching is an absolute passion of mine. I believe that learning should be interesting, exciting, and important. I feel strongly that all learners are individuals and learn differently. I love reaching the needs of ALL students, regardless of their academic, social, and developmental levels. I also love watching my students move forward and grow!
