About Miss Okuda

Hi Kinder Families,

 

My name is Kayci Okuda, and I am so excited to be a part of the UP family. I was born and raised in California, and graduated from William Jessup University. I have my masters degree in Elementary Education from Grand Canyon University. I started teaching in 2013 and have taught third grade, seventh grade, and high school. Lower elementary is definitely my favorite!

 

I love spending time with family and friends, watching football and basketball, walking, doing yoga, baking, trying new coffee shops, and spending the afternoon at the pool. The Dallas Arboretum and Magnolia Market are two of my favorite Texas spots, since I moved here in 2021.

 

As a teacher, with over 10 years experience, I love building relationships with students, watching them grow and seeing their excitement when they master a new skill. I enjoy incorporating hands on activities and arts and crafts, to make learning fun. I can't wait to see what this year holds! Go Panthers!
