About Mrs. Hazen

My name is Priscilla Hazen! Previously I have been the library instructional assistant, receptionist, and now currently the ESL K-4 teacher. I graduated from Texas State University with a BA in Elementary Education specializing in Reading. I have taught both Pre-K and 1st grade with over 25 years in education. This will be my 9th year at UP and I am looking forward to heading back to the classroom!

I have four daughters. The triplets are Kristin, Claire, and Katherine, and my youngest is Rosie. All four graduated from HPISD, and are alums of UP Elementary. My husband Scott and I have lived in Dallas for 28 years. My hobbies include reading, cooking, and enjoy spending time with my three precious pups, Finn a Maltipoo, Louis a Wire Fox Terrier, and Otto a Goldendoodle.

My goal as an ESL teacher is to greatly improve the lives of those around me, to be an example of high integrity and class, to be a great communicator, to uplift and inspire. To make the teaching experience fun for the students as well as for myself.
