TAG Math Project week

We partnered with a 5th grade class at MIS to create a padlet display for information about math resources and helpful tips.  Here is the padlet Mrs. Forney's class shared with us with a focus on addition and multiplication strategies:  http://padlet.com/forneyk/9ksgeuax34q3

And here is the creation that we made as a collaboration between 2nd, 3rd, and fourth grade math students with a focus on subtraction and division skills.

Hope you enjoy exploring!

Thank you!

Thank you to all the TAG families for the amazingly generous holiday gift!  I am so grateful for all of you and your children during this holiday time.  Also, the marriage advice from the children brought tears to my eyes.  I will keep these messages forever.  Thank you and happy holidays!

The verdict is in!!!!

The jury has come to a decision!  The jury has found that the Plaintiff, Big Foot Support Group, established that is more likely than not that Big Foot does exist.

A special thank you to Mr. Foley and Mrs. Spillman for guiding the trial process every step of the way.  The students were thoughtful in their deliberation and had a convection that I had never seen before when presenting their case.  Job well done by everyone!  Pictures to be posted after the winter holidays!

Dr. Wang and his son Alex show the class where to make incisions on the pig heart to see the four different chambers.
Third grader, Ava, dissects a pig heart to see how the blood flows through the values to the lungs and then back to the heart.
THIRD GREAT EXPLORATIONS HEART DISSECTION was an excellent learning experience for our class to examine the inside of a pig heart.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING

Dear TAG families,

I am so thankful for you all this year.  Teaching your children has been my greatest joy.  I absolutely love what I do because of your students' inexhaustible love of learning and joy they have for life.  I know that comes from strong parenting and a supportive family so I would like to thank each of you for your support and partnership in your child's growth.  A special thanks to our PC TAG moms, Ashley Meece and Mery Burgener, for representing our group at meetings and for setting up Monday helpers!  Thank you to the Monday helpers (Laurie Martin, Mary Dalrymple, Ali Bernstein, Roopa Foley, and Sue Ashton) for saving me hours and hours of time!  And also a special thanks to our expert volunteers that take time out of their day to guide lessons for TAG explorations; Professor Andy Swift, Ting and Haojie Wang, Michele Spillman, and Tom Foley.  Thank you, thank you, thank you! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
