International Day is Friday, March 24th.

We will have international performances and dances by our students. Parents and families will dress up in traditional clothing to present information and food from their countries. We will have craft tables and food trucks from countries around the world.

We need family and friends to set up information about your country or a country of your lineage. You can display anything you want that is relevant to the culture you are representing. You can pass out food samples from your country or host a simple craft to demonstrate or teach at your table.

Parent Survey: Deadline Friday, March 3

We are partnering with BrightBytes, an educational research and analytics company, in order to learn more about our students’ school and home technology use for learning.

We are reaching out to ask you to take part in our University Park Elementary/HPISD) questionnaire. Your participation helps us form a complete picture of technology use for learning. Please know that all of your responses will remain anonymous to protect your privacy and they will help your child's school choose the right technology for their classrooms. It will take approximately 5-10 minutes to complete.

The last day to complete this questionnaire is Friday March 3, 2017.

Birthday Party Project: Donate February 22-24

The Birthday Party Project brings joy to hundreds of homeless children each year through the magic of birthdays. As part of our community service outreach, students are encouraged to being donations for The Birthday Party Project February 22nd-24th. We will be collecting glow items such as necklaces and glasses. We need solid, plastic tablecloths (round or rectangular). We also need birthday banners, streamers, hats and blowers.

Canned Food Drive: January 3rd-January 6th

The Student Council will be hosting a canned food drive the week of January 3rd-January 6th. The Food Drive will benefit The Family Place Emergency Shelter. The shelter's food pantry is devastatingly low after the holiday season, so it is our goal to fill it back up with donations from UP!

All canned goods are welcome!
The class with the most cans will receive a special prize treat!

Third Grade Musical: Dec. 6 and 8

The Third Grade Musical, "E-I-E-I Oops!" will be performed on Tuesday, December 6th and Thursday, December 8th at 6:00pm. Doors will open at 5:15pm. Please note that seating is first come, first served. All third grade students will need to be at school by 5:15pm the night of their performance.
